NEW DELHI, April 16 (Xinhua) -- The Indian government said on Wednesday the country's total exports of goods and services registered a growth of 5.5 percent, reaching a record 820.93 billion U.S. dollars during fiscal year 2024-25 (starting from April 2024).
Total imports were estimated at 915.19 billion dollars, registering a growth of 6.85 percent.
Merchandise exports reached 437.4 billion dollars, with non-petroleum exports rising 6 percent year-on-year at 374.08 billion dollars.
Merchandise imports were at 720.24 billion dollars.
Merchandise trade deficit was 282.83 billion dollars, compared to 241.14 billion dollars during the previous fiscal year. ■
