BUENOS AIRES, April 14 (Xinhua) -- United States international midfielder Matko Miljevic continued his impressive scoring form as Huracan clinched a 2-1 away victory over 10-man Central Cordoba in Argentina's Primera Division on Monday.
Walter Mazzanti gave the visitor the lead with a 32nd-minute strike but Leonardo Heredia equalized from the penalty spot on the stroke of halftime.
The host was reduced to 10 men just before the hour when Jonathan Galvan was shown a red card for a handball inside the area.
Miljevic capitalized by converting the resultant penalty as Huracan secured its seventh win of the campaign. The former CF Montreal playmaker has now scored three times in his past two matches and has five goals in 12 league outings this season for the Buenos Aires outfit.
Huracan is now second in the 15-team Group A standings with 26 points, three points behind leader Boca Juniors. Central Cordoba is eighth, eight points further back.
In other Primera Division fixtures on Monday, Sarmiento won 1-0 at Velez Sarsfield, Godoy Cruz was held to a goalless home draw by Lanus, Union Santa Fe drew 0-0 at Defensa y Justicia and Racing Club prevailed 2-0 at Aldosivi. ■
