NEW YORK, April 4 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.1 jolted New Britain Region, Papua New Guinea, at 20:04:39 GMT on Friday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 6.21 degrees south latitude and 151.60 degrees east longitude. ■
