KABUL, April 4 (Xinhua) -- Afghan counter-narcotics police destroyed a drug processing lab and arrested one suspect for alleged involvement in the drug business in south Afghanistan's Uruzgan province, said a statement of the provincial police headquarters on Friday.
Acting on a tip-off, the police launched operations in Trin Kot City, the provincial capital of Uruzgan province, on Thursday, uncovering a drug processing lab along with a large quantity of materials and equipment used for heroin production, which were destroyed on-site, according to the statement.
