CHENGDU, April 4 (Xinhua) --The Dujiangyan water releasing festival was celebrated on Friday in Dujiangyan on the Tomb-sweeping Day, also known as Qingming Festival.
People pray for good harvests during the festival, which is a time-honored custom in western Sichuan Plain with important historical, cultural and folkloric values.
Some 1,000 guests and tourists participated in the event.
