HONG KONG, April 2 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 jolted 54 km ENE of Nishinoomote, Japan at 14:03:57 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 26.0 km, was initially determined to be at 31.00 degrees north latitude and 131.47 degrees east longitude. ■
