BUENOS AIRES, March 28 (Xinhua) -- Sebastian Medina scored late as Tigre recovered from a goal down to clinch a 2-1 away victory over Defensa y Justicia in Argentina's Primera Division Apertura tournament on Friday.
Juan Miritello put the hosts ahead by nodding home at the far post after Matias Ramirez's ingenious in-swinging cross with the outside of his right boot.
The visitors equalized through Nehuen Paz, who bundled home from close range following a scramble inside the six-yard box.
Medina completed the turnaround as he latched onto Blas Armoa's deflected cross before sweeping a first-time effort past goalkeeper Enrique Bologna.
The result leaves Tigre top of Group A with 24 points from 11 outings, a point clear of second-placed Boca Juniors. Defensa y Justicia is eighth, seven points off the pace.
In other fixtures on Friday, Deportivo Riestra won 1-0 at Velez Sarsfield, Platense secured a 2-1 victory over Atletico Tucuman, Huracan drew 0-0 at Banfield, and San Lorenzo was held to a 1-1 home draw by Lanus. ■
