BUENOS AIRES, March 27 (Xinhua) -- Facundo Bruera scored late as Barracas Central registered a 2-1 home win over Estudiantes in Argentina's Primera Division Apertura tournament on Thursday.
Ivan Tapia put the hosts ahead in the 24th minute and Tiago Palacios appeared to secure a point for the visitors with a long-range effort seven minutes from time.
But Bruera wrested back the lead for Barracas by bundling home from inside the six-yard box following a Yonatthan Rak set piece.
The result leaves Barracas Central seventh in the 15-team Group A standings with 17 points from 11 games, two points behind Estudiantes. Boca Juniors leads the group with 23 points from 10 outings.
Elsewhere in Argentina's top flight on Thursday, Independiente Rivadavia clinched a 2-1 home victory over Racing Club and Aldosivi prevailed 2-1 at home to Union Santa Fe. ■
