VIENTIANE, March 27 (Xinhua) -- The National Assembly of Laos officially promulgated the 2025 constitution, following a thorough review and approval during its second extraordinary session.
Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, National Assembly Vice President Chalern Yiapaoher emphasized the significance of the constitution.
He said that the constitutional amendment aimed to promote national protection and development and align the country's economy with global standards. It also reflected the Party's reform guidelines and will enhance state management.
The constitution consists of 14 chapters and 122 articles. ■
