MOSUL, March 26 (Xinhua) -- Iraq's archaeological sites in Hatra and Ashur suffered severe destruction during the rise of IS in 2014 and 2015, as part of the group's broader campaign to destroy cultural heritage sites they deemed un-Islamic.
