DAMASCUS, March 25 (Xinhua) -- Two fuel shipments have arrived at Syria's port city of Baniyas, the state-run SANA news agency reported Tuesday.
A tanker carrying 5,600 tons of gasoline and another with 100,000 tons of crude oil have docked at the terminal of Syrian Oil Transport Company in the city, SANA said.
The report did not specify the origin of the shipments or whether they were part of a bilateral agreement or commercial purchase.
Syria has faced chronic fuel shortages in recent years due to conflict, sanctions, and infrastructure damage. ■
