ZHENGZHOU, March 20 (Xinhua) -- An explosion tore through a factory in the city of Xiangcheng, central China's Henan Province, leaving three people missing and four others injured on Thursday, local authorities said.
The explosion occurred at 11:09 a.m. in a facility owned by Zhoukou Hongqi Biotechnology Company, according to the city's emergency management bureau.
The injured were promptly transported to hospitals for treatment.
Search-and-rescue operations are ongoing, while the visible flames at the site have been extinguished.
An investigation into the incident has been launched. ■
