MANILA, March 10 (Xinhua) -- Three were killed, and five others injured after their van crashed into a roadside concrete barrier in Benguet province in the northern Philippines, police said Monday.
Police said the crash happened on early Sunday morning. The van reportedly experienced mechanical failure while navigating a sharp curve.
Police said the five injured passengers are now in stable condition at a local hospital.
The van's driver has been taken into custody. ■
