NEW YORK, March 8 (Xinhua) -- A police officer was killed and another wounded on duty Friday night in a shooting in the U.S. state of New Jersey, according to local media reports.
The officers were shot in the area of Broadway and Carteret Street in Newark and were taken to a local hospital, authorities said.
