Tong Ren Tang, a China time-honored brand first founded in 1669 in Beijing, had served traditional Chinese medicine for the imperial family for nearly 200 years during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). In its 356-year history, the brand has stuck to its strict standards in selecting materials and making Chinese patent medicine. In 2006, its traditional Chinese medicine culture was listed as one of the first batch of national intangible cultural heritages.
Nowadays, Tong Ren Tong has taken on a brand new look and become a modern company which combines its core business of medicine making with retail selling, healthy management, elder caring and international pharmacy. Zhima Health, a new retail brand of Tong Ren Tang, has integrated innovative modern ideas with the time-honored brand, and attracted the youngsters with its new concepts in health and scientific styles. In order to promote traditional Chinese medicine to the whole world, Tong Ren Tang has now set up over 140 retail shops, Chinese medicine clinics, health centers, medical and cultural centers in 26 countries and regions, and provided diagnosis for over 30 million people overseas.
