BEIJING, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed mixed on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.23 percent to 3,388.06 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.26 percent lower at 10,927.51 points.
The combined turnover of these two indices stood at about 2.04 trillion yuan (284.4 billion U.S. dollars), up from 1.94 trillion yuan on the previous trading day.
Stocks related to duty-free stores and beverage manufacturing led the gains, while those in the liquid-cooled server sector suffered major losses.
The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, lost 0.52 percent to close at 2,256.51 points. ■
