The 4,366-tonne raffinate tower of aromatics complex, the largest single facility of the major chemical project, completed its installation here on Wednesday.
With a total investment of 83.7 billion yuan (about 11.52 billion U.S. dollars), fine chemicals and raw materials project of HAPCO, a joint investment by Saudi Aramco and its Chinese partners, kicked off in March 2023 and has finished nearly 60 percent of its construction work.
The project covering 8.97 square kilometers is expected to become a world-class petrochemical and fine chemical industry base. (Xinhua/Pan Yulong)
