LHASA, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- The 2025 Tibetan New Year falls on February 28, offering a perfect opportunity for Tibetans to reunite with their relatives and friends. As the Tibetan New Year approaches, the butter sculptures have enjoyed widespread popularity across southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region. The butter sculptures, made of yak and goat butter and painted with mineral dyestuff, depict a variety of subjects, including trees, flowers, birds and animals.
