CAIRO, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- Dead Sea -- a landlocked salt lake bordered by Jordan to the east, the Israeli-occupied West Bank to the west, and Israel to the southwest -- is one of the world's saltiest bodies of water.
As its name indicates, the Dead Sea's environment is unfit for plants and animals to flourish due to its high salinity. However, it attracts tourists worldwide as a renowned health resort with beautiful scenery.
