BEIJING, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- China's gross domestic product expanded 5.4 percent year on year in the fourth quarter of 2024, data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) showed Friday.
The pace accelerated from the 4.6-percent growth in the previous quarter. On a quarterly basis, the Chinese economy increased 1.6 percent in the period, according to the NBS. ■
