NEW YORK, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- Oil prices fell on Thursday.
The West Texas Intermediate for February delivery lost 1.36 U.S. dollars, or 1.7 percent, to settle at 78.68 dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude for March delivery dropped 74 cents, or 0.9 percent, to settle at 81.29 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Futures Exchange. ■
