BAKU, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- Azerbaijan's economy grew 4.1 percent in 2024, the State Statistical Committee reported Thursday.
The gross domestic product (GDP) reached 126.3 billion manats (about 74.3 billion U.S. dollars), while the GDP per capita stood at 12,382.5 manats (about 7,284 dollars), said the committee.
The non-oil-gas sector saw a growth of 6.2 percent, while the oil and gas sector posted a slight rise of 0.3 percent.
Industry was the largest contributor to GDP, accounting for 35.9 percent, followed by trade at 10.7 percent, transportation at 7 percent, and construction at 6.7 percent. Agriculture, tourism and other sectors together made up 29.9 percent. ■
