NEW YORK, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 jolted central Mid-Atlantic Ridge at 19:02:04 GMT on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 7.31 degrees north latitude and 35.48 degrees west longitude. ■
