ACCRA, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama on Thursday announced his first batch of ministerial nominees, just two days after taking office.
In a press release, Mahama nominated Cassiel Ato Baah Forson as Minister for Finance, Dominic Akuritinga Ayine as Minister for Justice and Attorney General, and John Abdulai Jinapor as Minister for Energy.
All three nominees previously served as deputies in their respective ministries during Mahama's first administration and have been prominent members of the ruling National Democratic Congress in parliament for the past eight years.
The appointments are subject to parliamentary approval.
Mahama previously served as Ghana's president from 2012 to 2017. ■
