JINGZHOU, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- A new generation lightweight smart construction platform for bridge construction, developed by China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Group Co., Ltd., conducted its first jacking operation on Libu Yangtze River road-rail bridge project in Jingzhou, central China's Hubei Province on Friday.
The Libu Yangtze River road-rail bridge is 1,723 meters long with a main span of 1,120 meters. The bridge tower on the north bank is 215.5 meters high, about the height of a 70-story skyscraper.
