Shaw Butterworth, 35, is an experienced ski resort builder from the Alpine Infinity Snow Club in New Zealand. He built terrain parks at many well-known ski resorts worldwide and participated in venue construction for snow events in the Beijing Winter Olympics.
This snow season, he and his team have once again traveled to the Northern Hemisphere to create a new terrain park in the Ice and Snow Economic High-quality Development Experimental Zone in Jilin City, northeast China's Jilin Province.
As one of Asia's largest single-site ski resorts, Beidahu Ski Resort welcomed 850,000 visitors last snow season, topping the rankings across China. With continuous improvements, including more ski trails, cableways, and snowmaking equipment, Beidahu Ski Resort aims to become the first single-site ski resort in China to host more than one million visitors in a single snow season.■
