JERUSALEM, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- An Israeli soldier was severely injured in a car-ramming attack in the southern West Bank on Saturday, Israel's MDA emergency service and the Israel Defense Forces said in separate statements.
The incident occurred near the Al Fawwar refugee camp, about 6 km southwest of the city of Hebron, according to the statements.
An Israeli citizen was slightly injured by shrapnel during the incident, and another man and a child were also treated for panic attacks, according to the statements.
During the incident, shots were fired at the attacker's car, the IDF said, adding that following the attack, many Israeli forces blocked routes, encircled the area of Hebron, and conducted searches for the attacker. ■
