NEW YORK, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.6 jolted 63 km WNW of Petrolia, California, the United States, at 18:44:19 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 0.6 km, was initially determined to be at 40.37 degrees north latitude and 125.03 degrees west longitude. ■
