ISLAMABAD, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- Foreign exchange reserves of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) have increased by 620 million U.S. dollars, the central bank said in a statement on Thursday.
During the week ending on Nov. 29, total foreign exchange reserves of the bank reached about 12 billion dollars, the bank said.
Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks came in at around 4.6 billion dollars.
Total liquid foreign reserves held by the South Asian country stood at about 16.6 billion dollars.
The increase is mainly on account of the official inflow of 500 million U.S. dollars from the Asian Development Bank, the SBP said. ■
