BEIJING, Dec. 3 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed mixed on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.44 percent to 3,378.81 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.4 percent lower at 10,713.58 points.
The combined turnover of these two indices stood at 1.72 trillion yuan (about 238.33 billion U.S. dollars), down from 1.83 trillion yuan recorded on the previous trading day.
Shares related to logistics and man-made diamonds led the gains, while those in the e-commerce industry suffered losses.
The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, lost 0.44 percent to close at 2,245.50 points. ■
