RIGA, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) -- The European Commission has approved a 4.5 million-euro (4.7 million U.S. dollars) allocation from the European Defense Fund to support Latvian military technology company Origin Robotics in developing an advanced unmanned targeting capability.
This innovation will significantly enhance the use of precision-guided munitions, the Latvian Defense Ministry announced Monday on its website.
The project is led by Origin Robotics, which specializes in developing autonomous unmanned systems, and involves partners from Lithuania and Germany. (1 euro = 1.05 U.S. dollar) ■
