BEIJING, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- Chinese stocks closed higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.66 percent to 3,367.99 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.78 percent higher at 10,827.19 points.
The combined turnover of these two indices stood at 1.61 trillion yuan (about 223.81 billion U.S. dollars), up from 1.56 trillion yuan recorded on the previous trading day.
Shares related to robotics and the low-altitude economy led the gains, while those in the banking sector suffered a decline.
The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, gained 0.5 percent to close at 2,267.85 points Wednesday. ■
