The EU's decision to impose tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles (EVs) is failing, Victor Gao, vice president of the Center for China and Globalization, a Beijing-based non-governmental think tank, has said.
"Many European countries did not support this EU decision" and "they also emphasized the need for more free trade rather than weaponizing or politicizing" tariffs, said Gao.
