GHAZNI, Afghanistan, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- Four travelers lost their lives and five others were injured as a car collided with a head-on passenger bus in eastern Afghanistan's Ghazni province on Wednesday, provincial police spokesman Khalid Sarhadi said Thursday.
The deadly road crash took place on Wednesday afternoon on the Ghazni-Kabul highway when a car collided with a passenger bus coming from the opposite direction, leaving four commuters, including a woman, dead on the spot and injuring five others, some in critical condition, the official asserted.
This is the third road accident in Afghanistan since Monday. In the previous road crashes, which occurred in eastern Logar and southern Uruzgan provinces, 12 commuters were killed and three others injured. ■
