SYDNEY, Oct. 30, 2024 (Xinhua) -- Often called "the happiest animal in the world," Quokkas are small marsupials related to Kangaroos, feeding on grasses, leaves, and plant roots, inhabiting Western Australia.
The species is listed as vulnerable on the International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List of threatened species due to habitat loss, climatic factors and feral animal predation.
