TEHRAN, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei on Tuesday condemned Israel's "brutal" strike on a residential building in Beit Lahia in northern Gaza.

The strike reportedly killed at least 93 Palestinians, including 20 children, and wounded dozens of others.

Baghaei criticized Israel's continued "genocide and killing of defenseless Palestinian people, as well as targeting residential areas and vital infrastructure in the Gaza Strip," calling for decisive international actions to stop the "crimes" and bring the Israeli leaders to justice.

Baghaei denounced the United States and some other Western countries for providing military and political support to Israel.

Local eyewitnesses said that the Israeli army destroyed a five-floor residential building in Beit Lahia, forcing residents to manually pull out casualties from the debris due to the lack of medical and civil defense teams.

The Palestinian death toll from the ongoing Israeli attacks in Gaza has surpassed 43,000, according to Gaza's health authorities.
