KAZAN, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- Located on the confluence of the Sviyaga River and the Volga River, Sviyazhsk boasts beautiful scenery and a long history. The Assumption Cathedral and Monastery on the island were added to UNESCO's World Heritage List in 2017.
