AMMAN, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- Jordan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announced Wednesday the evacuation of 50 nationals from Lebanon aboard a military plane.
The Royal Jordanian Air Force plane landed at Lebanon's Rafic Hariri International Airport earlier in the day, delivering food supplies, relief aid, medicine, and medical equipment, the ministry said on social media platform X.
This is the 12th humanitarian aid plane Jordan sent to Lebanon, and the sixth evacuation flight for Jordanian nationals in Lebanon after Israel intensified airstrikes on Lebanon, it said.
So far, 164 Jordanian citizens have been evacuated from Lebanon on Royal Jordanian Air Force planes, all of whom had registered through the evacuation platform set up by the Jordanian embassy in Lebanon, the ministry said.
Since August, 3,353 Jordanian citizens in Lebanon have returned from Lebanon through Queen Alia International Airport, along with others who crossed into Jordan via the Jaber Border Crossing, it added. ■
