SKOPJE, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- North Macedonia's gross domestic product (GDP) reached 897.7 billion denars (around 15.8 billion U.S. dollars) in 2023, marking a 10-percent year-on-year increase in nominal terms, the State Statistics Office (SSO) reported on Friday.
The real GDP growth rate in 2023, compared to 2022, was 2.1 percent.
According to SSO, final consumption accounted for 83.4 percent of GDP in 2023, while the share of exports of goods and services in GDP was 67.8 percent. In contrast, imports of goods and services represented 80.9 percent of GDP. (1 denar = 0.018 U.S. dollar) ■
