KATHMANDU, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- People celebrate the festival Sikali Jatra in Lalitpur, a historical city in central Nepal, dressing in traditional attire and joining various activities, including mask dances, flute performances and sacrifices.
This event is also called the festival of Rudrayani, which is held in honor of the goddess Sikali, known as "Ajima" or the mother goddess.
