TIANSHUI, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- The Maijishan Grottoes, over 1,600 years old, are carved in the caves of an isolated mountain peak on the ancient Silk Road in the city of Tianshui, northwest China's Gansu Province. It is one of China's four largest Buddhist cave complexes, along with Mogao, Yungang and Longmen grottoes in Gansu, Shanxi and Henan provinces.
