BAGHDAD, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Iraq exported about 105.84 million barrels of crude oil in August, the country's Oil Ministry announced Thursday.
During the month, approximately 105.55 million barrels were exported from oil fields in central and southern Iraq via the Port of Basra, while another 286,074 barrels were sent to neighboring Jordan, the ministry said in a statement, citing statistics from the State Organization for Marketing of Oil, an Iraqi company.
According to the ministry, Iraq exported about 108 million barrels of crude oil in July.
Iraq's economy heavily relies on crude oil exports, which account for about 90 percent of the country's revenues. ■
