CANBERRA, Sept. 23 (Xinhua) -- The 37th edition of the annual flower and entertainment festival Floriade was launched on Sept. 14 in Canberra's Commonwealth Park. In addition to the vibrant flower shows, there were also various entertainment activities and art exhibitions, attracting people from all over the world.
Floriade, Australia's Biggest Celebration of Spring, was first held in 1988. This year's theme is "Art in Bloom," with all the flower beds creatively designed and inspired by rich art forms. The event, which will end on Oct. 13, is a great opportunity to view many exotic and native flowers in full bloom.
