BUENOS AIRES, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- Cristian Tarragona scored late as Talleres Cordoba salvaged a 2-2 draw at Rosario Central in Argentina's Primera Division on Sunday.
Matias Catalan gave the visitors an early lead before Victor Malcorra converted two penalties either side of halftime for the hosts.
Talleres were forced to play the last 35 minutes with only 10 men after Ulises Ortegoza picked up his second yellow card for a bad foul on Enzo Copetti.
Despite their numerical disadvantage, Talleres drew level two minutes from time by firing home after combining with Blas Riveros.
The result at El Gigante de Arroyito stadium leaves Talleres sixth in the 28-team Primera Division standings, six points behind leaders Velez Sarsfield. Rosario Central are 12th, five points further back.
In other Argentine top-flight fixtures on Sunday, Platense drew 1-1 at Estudiantes, Sarmiento held Godoy Cruz to a 1-1 draw in Mendoza and Argentinos Juniors cruised to a 3-0 home win over Newell's Old Boys. ■
