KATHMANDU, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- Vibrant celebrations marked the beginning of Indra Jatra in Kathmandu, Nepal! Masked dancers from the Newar community captivated onlookers with their traditional performances on the first day of this joyous festival.
The eight-day event honors Indra, the god of rain, and is a beautiful testament to Nepal's rich cultural heritage.
