After the end of the Cold War, the elites of the United States thought that they were the No. 1 in the world and wanted to create a unipolar system which has failed, said Stephan Ossenkopp, a senior researcher with the German think tank the Schiller Institute.
"It's also failed due to what China has been doing," said Ossenkopp, stressing that China went its own way and has become a pinnacle for the Global South countries.
