BEIJING, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- Zhang Youxia, vice chairman of the Central Military Commission, on Thursday met separately with Singaporean Defense Minister Ng Eng Hen and Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Tea Seiha in Beijing.
Both Ng and Seiha are in Beijing for the 11th Beijing Xiangshan Forum scheduled for Sept. 12 to 14.
During his meeting with Ng, Zhang expressed the hope that the militaries of China and Singapore will maintain frequent high-level exchanges, and deepen and expand pragmatic cooperation in various areas.
Ng said Singapore adheres to the one-China principle, and is willing to play a constructive role in the peace and stability in the South China Sea.
When meeting with Seiha, Zhang said the Chinese military is ready to enhance strategic communication and pragmatic cooperation with the Cambodian military to advance their relations.
Seiha said Cambodia is willing to work with other parties to safeguard the peace and stability in the South China Sea. ■
