SINGAPORE, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) -- A total of 1.54 million visitor arrivals were recorded in Singapore in August, up 17.3 percent year-on-year, according to the latest statistics released by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB).
The Chinese mainland topped Singapore's visitor sources in August with over 400,000 travelers, followed by Indonesia, India, Australia, and Japan.
Singapore received more than 13 million visitors as of August. The STB estimated international visitor arrivals to reach 15 to 16 million this year. ■
