ANKARA -- The Turkish military "neutralized" 35 "terrorists" in operations in northern Iraq and northern Syria over the past four days, the country's Defense Ministry said on Friday.
Turkish forces killed 27 members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in airstrikes since Monday, targeting multiple regions in northern Iraq, including Matina, Zap, Gara, Hakurk, Qandil, and Asos, the ministry said in a statement. (Türkiye-PKK Militants-Death)

RAMALLAH -- A U.S. activist was killed by Israeli army gunfire in the town of Beita, south of Nablus, in the northern West Bank, according to Palestinian official sources on Friday.

BAGHDAD -- Three Islamic State (IS) militants were killed on Friday in an airstrike on an IS hideout in Iraq's eastern province of Daiyala, the Iraqi military said.
Based on intelligence reports, the Iraqi military carried out an airstrike at 7:00 p.m. local time (1600 GMT) on an IS hideout in the Hamrin mountain range, destroying the hideout and killing three IS militants inside, according to a statement from the Security Media Cell, a media outlet affiliated with the Iraqi Joint Operations Command.
