AMMAN, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- The Jordanian Armed Forces said on Monday that it carried out two air drops of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip after a nearly two-month pause.
The air drops, carried out in areas that ground convoys could not reach, were completed with two C130 aircraft from the Royal Jordanian Air Force, the army said in a statement.
The total number of air drops by the army into Gaza has reached 119 since the onset of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, with an additional 266 air drops in collaboration with other countries, it said.
The statement said that the army continues delivering humanitarian and medical aid through ground convoys in cooperation with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, a multifaceted national non-governmental, non-profit organization. ■
